I think Google Chrome is a great innovation and i can’t wait to see this new Browser on osX. Hence I decided to make a quick mockup design of what the browser could look like on my Macbook. I really hope that Google will design the browser in the osX unified look with state of the art integration into the system. So hopefully more the Camino aprroach than the Firefox way.

I put about 3 hours of work into this…. but have to stop at this point, cause i have to leave for the Ars Electronica Festival and wanted to share it now. Would love to read your comments and ideas…

PS: I think the Google strategy for Chrome isn’t about the search & ads market at all. It’s all about the Future of the Web. Think of Google Chrome as an Operating System und a Tab is an Application and everything makes sense.

Derzeit wird vielerorts über den neuen Browser “Flock” berichtet, der Anfang Oktober als Public Beta verfügbar sein soll. Flock basiert auf Firefox (1,5) und soll der erste Social - Browser werden. So werden Web-dienste wie Flickr (für Photos), del.icio.us (für bookmarks) in das BrowserInterface miteingebunden. Ein wysiwyg blog writing tool soll auch mitkommen. Klingt interessant. Leider gibt es noch nicht viel zu sehen. Diese Bildergallerie von einem Flock-Entwickler zeigt nur das Logo und die normale (Firefox) Browseransicht. Hoffentlich wird Flock mehr als nur eine Firefox Variante mit verbesserten Plug-Ins.
